This site has a fairly large heathland colony of the nationally threatened silver-studded blue butterfly which
should be in full flight together with other summer butterflies. Bring walking boots.

BUG HUNT
Bozanes, Perranwell, near Truro 2.00pm to 4.00pm
Heading south on A3075 from Newquay towards Three Burrows (A30) roundabout, pass through Goonhavern and find Perranwell after 1/2 mile. Just after Perranwell village sign is a sign to right for Rose/Reen. A few steps past Rose/Reen road (on right) is a track to Bozanes. Park in lay-by behind red-brick wall opposite.
The word"bug" can be used for any small creature, for a disease, for something annoying, or even for a secret listening device. To us, it's a particular order of insects - let us explain the differences between the many groups of insects, arachnids and other invertebrates we find.
