Notice of major events Once again we will have a stand at the Royal Cornwall Show (5th-7th June) on the same site as last year. This year our theme is 'Water for Life', and there will be various displays demonstrating how vital water is for all our wildlife. We look forward to seeing you there! We will also have a stand at the Falmouth Green Fair on 5th July, and the Newlyn Fish Festival on 25th July. Once again we are hoping to have an 'Art in the Wild' exhibition in September, raising valuable funds for the Trust, and details of this will appear in our next magazine. Discovery Day and our AGM will be held on November 8th. We are holding it at Chacewater Village Hall again this year as we enjoyed the venue so much last year. The Hall provides all the facilities we need, and there is free car-parking next to it too. The full programme and booking form will appear in the next Wild Cornwall. Caroline Viner Well deserved MBEs Two highly respected members of the Trust, Stella Turk and Jean Paton, have been awarded MBEs in this year's Honours List, in recognition of their work for wildlife. See article on page 14.
