Raffle -
win a trip to Scilly

The Trust is once again holding its annual Prize Draw. Enclosed with this magazine is a book of raffle tickets. I would be very grateful if you would sell these tickets and return your money, stubs and any unsold tickets in the pre-paid envelope which is also enclosed. Your help with the raffle is greatly appreciated, and for every raffle ticket you buy, you will be helping us in the battle to save Cornwall's wildlife and wild places. Remember, each pound raised is worth, on average, ten times as much by using it as partnership funding for Lottery and other grants.

So spend just £1 on one of our raffle tickets and you could win any one of our great prizes! First Prize this year is a short break on the Isles of

Scilly with helicopter flights. If you did not receive tickets with this magazine or want more tickets for yourself or to sell to friends or colleagues, please contact me on (01872) 240777 ext.222.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust would like to thank the following supporters for generously donating prizes for the raffle: Melanie Woodcock of Lyonesse Guest House, St. Marys;

Dick Twinney; Heligan Gardens;

Flambards Theme Park, Helston;

Eden Project; Seven Wives of St. Ives Soap Company; National Seal Sanctuary, Gweek; Tamar Otter Sanctuary, Launceston; National Maritime Museum, Falmouth;

Museum of Submarine Telegraphy, Porthcurno; Velvet Crystal, Truro.

Notice of major events

Once again we will have a stand at the Royal Cornwall Show (5th-7th June) on the same site as last year. This year our theme is 'Water for Life', and there will be various displays demonstrating how vital water is for all our wildlife. We look forward to seeing you there!

We will also have a stand at the Falmouth Green Fair on 5th July, and the Newlyn Fish Festival on 25th July. Once again we are hoping to have an 'Art in the Wild' exhibition in September, raising valuable funds for the Trust, and details of this will appear in our next magazine.

Discovery Day and our AGM will be held on November 8th. We are holding it at Chacewater Village Hall again this year as we enjoyed the venue so much last year. The Hall provides all the facilities we need, and there is free car-parking next to it too. The full programme and booking form will appear in the next Wild Cornwall.
