Photographic Competition - Sponsored by Miller Countrywide
Do you have a "natural" talent hidden away?

Wildlife watching and photography go hand in hand. Here is a great opportunity to win one of a number of prizes and treat yourself to some new camera gear from Truro Photographic. Not only that, but selected photographs will be displayed at the Wild Cornwall Discovery Day and in our spring magazine. Miller Countrywide may also be looking for a suitable image to display on its boards across Cornwall.

There will be a first prize of £120 in vouchers for each of our two age categories: junior (14 or under) and standard (15 and over). Second and third prizes of vouchers for £35 and £15 respectively will also be awarded in each of the two age groups.

Your photograph should fit one of the following themes:

• Wild Cornwall - reflecting the natural beauty of Cornwall

• A Cornwall Wildlife Trust nature reserve

• My wildlife garden

• Cornish wildlife - a species photograph, whether a common garden bird or rare bryophyte

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for each of these themes, including wildlife books signed by David Bellamy and bird or bat boxes.

The judging panel will be:

David Chapman, Chair of the Trust's Photographic Group; Peter Stafford, MD of The Lost Gardens of Heligan and a former British Wildlife Photographer of the Year; Bruce Taylor, Marketing and Public Relations Manager, Miller Countrywide. David Bellamy will announce the winners and award the prizes at the Wild Cornwall Discovery Day on 9th November.

There is a charge of £2.50 per entry (maximum 4 photos per entry). This competition is open to amateurs only. Full competition rules are obtainable from:
