Editorial

We have decided to use the seasons as our magazine themes from now on, so that each issue reflects the opportunities available to you for exploring, enjoying and helping wildlife at the time of its circulation. In this our summer edition we suggest what to look for and where to find it in the warmest months of the year. We also present you with a great variety of ideas for actions - large or small - which will make a difference for wildlife.

Whatever else you do, you have already made a difference - probably more than you realise - simply by being a member of the Trust. As we reflect on our 40th anniversary, our thoughts turn with thanks to that relatively small body of far-seeing individuals who founded the Trust in 1962, to the thousands who have given support over the years and to our current members who keep our conservation efforts going. You have all been vital to the Trust's success and we hope you will share in our year of celebration.
