INDIAN WILDLIFE AND RESTORMEL BRANCH AGM

A photographic journey with one of Cornwall's top wildlife photographers, Adrian Langdon, to the Keoladeo National Park at Bharatpur in India, looking at many species of birds. Other wildlife such as spotted deer, monkeys/ python and mongoose were also photographed in close detail. With over one billion people in the country it is inevitable that they feature highly in the photographs; there are many superb portraits of traditional Indian characters alongside family groups, as well as the environment in which they live. PEAKE UNDER THE SEA

Experienced underwater photographer Dave Peake has been diving around South East Cornwall for many years, but his favourite dive site is Polhawn Cove, hidden away in the eastern corner of the magnificent Whitsand Bay. His long-term observations of the area have proved it to be a gem of marine biodiversity. However, recent changes in the environment have caused concern for its rich marine life. Dave's pictures will demonstrate the wonders of the marine life and he will present his video and slides of the effects of recent changes in this area at a talk. LOCAL RESERVES and CARRICK GROUP AGM

AGM starts at 7.30pm and the talk will last no more than 2 hours, including a break for tea / coffee. An interesting talk given by Dave Thomas, illustrated by many photographic slides on the local reserves, including Red Moor, Breney Common, Hawkes Wood, Kennall Vale, Predannack Downs, and Sylvia's Meadow. The talk will be preceded by a very short AGM for the group - details of the AGM will be published in the next local Carrick newsletter. Entry to AGM is free, but donations (minimum £1.50) welcomed to help defray costs of the talk etc. Parking is available in the village car park just down the hill.
