In June 2003 the Environmental Records Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (ERCCIS)/ launched an exciting new four year project/ 'Celebrating Cornwall's Mammals - from Dormice to Dolphins!'/ thanks to part funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The aim of the project is to encourage all you budding mammal detectives out there to tell

mouse brought in by your cat/ a squashed rabbit on the road or a seal at the seaside. All you have to do is tell us what you saw/ when you saw it, where you saw it and who you are/ it's as easy as that!

Over the next four years we will be producing ten mammal information packs aimed at the different mammal groups found.- in

Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly/ and holding a variety of events and training days for all age groups and abilities.
