Thanks to CEC
Many thanks and congratulations go to the Trust's consultancy company, which officially re-launched itself as Cornwall Environmental Consultants Ltd in June. In its first ten years the company has secured benefits for nature through over a thousand projects and contributed over £200,000 to conservation. Membership fee
If you are a longstanding member, you will know that we have not changed our minimum membership rate for almost a decade. We are currently comparing our minimum rate with those of other Trusts and similar organisations and it is likely that a small increase will be introduced next year. This will not affect most of our members, who already voluntarily support us at higher rates, and we are very grateful for this generosity.
Something for everyone
Come and join us!

This year we are holding our Members' Day (incorporating the Trust’s AGM) on Saturday 10th November at the Members' Pavilion at the Royal Cornwall Showground. Who says we have a bias for the west of Cornwall?! We hope that as many members as possible from the north and east of Cornwall will attend, together with members from the west, as this is a venue that most of you will already know well.

Once again we will have a wide variety of workshops covering all ages and interests, including:
· Hedgehogs - learn more about them and how to attract them into your garden, with guest hedgehogs from the Hedgehog Hospital.

· Wildlife-friendly gardening - learn how to use more sustainable practices in your own backyard to protect wildlife, with practical examples.

· Creative waste - engage in demonstrations of the use to which waste materials can be put by local artists and sculptors.

· Farming for all our futures - hear how organic and environmentally friendly farmers are tackling the sensitive issues of farm waste to improve the lot of wildlife.
· Bats - learn about our native bats, meet them and take away your own bat box.

· The Eden Project and Cornwall - hear from the Eden team about the practical and scientific outcomes of this major project and how they will engage with Cornwall, and take this opportunity to put your questions to them.

· Dr Nick Tregenza will give an update on his work with dolphins and other cetaceans, in our own waters and abroad, with the latest video material from Seaquest.
· Be creative and green - make Christmas decorations, swags, wreaths and presents from recyclable and natural materials around us.

· Loads of activities for children of all ages (and grown-ups) including Seaquest for Kids, willow sculpture, face painting, meeting small mammals and making peppermint mice.
