Internationally renowned landscape artist Tony Foster will be giving an illustrated talk on his extensive painting travels. Tony has just returned from remote ice-covered Greenland where he has been painting some of the active glaciers. His talk tonight will be about his work and travels to the remotest deserts, rainforest and volcanoes to capture the spirit of the wilderness - often following in the footsteps of his mentors and early environmentalists Henry Thoreau, John Muir and Edward Abbey.

An illustrated talk by Kate Stokes (the Trust's Otters and Rivers Project Officer) dealing with mammals in general and otters in particular. Kate has been rewarded in her efforts to increase otter numbers in Cornwall by appropriate changes in habitat management with which land managers around the county have co-operated. Now the Trust is embarking on a new five-year conservation programme to help ensure the continued revival of Cornwall's otter population. The programme is called "Water for Wildlife" and Kate will tell us a lot more this evening.
