Services operated by First Bus Company

Bus travel throughout the Lands End peninsula, and to all major centres in West Cornwall,
is centred on Penzance Bus Station, which is located adjacent to the Train Station.

There are many other routes and services from Penzance and those listed above are merely to illustrate the levels of service provided.
Some services operate at reduced frequencies during the winter season.

While fares for journeys on these services can be paid individually, 'Day/Week Plus' tickets (or BusPasses) are available for 1 or 7 day durations, but please check as these services constantly change.

First Bus Coach Tours use regular-sized tour-buses with a guide/driver showing the visitor a variety of resorts, towns, countryside and coastline around Cornwall which cannot conveniently be reached by bus or train services. Please check these services, again as those quoted are just examples of tours provided over the years.

The 'Safari' tour is a half-day 'off-the-beaten-track' experience by mini-coach visiting many of the historic - and pre-historic - sites, including many of the ancient Standing Stones and Stone Circles around the Land's End area, and also the Tin-Mining areas where the stark ruined Engine Houses tower over the landscape. This is a personally conducted tour providing considerable flexibility in its itinerary - to suit the interests of the clients.

Penzance is well served by direct rail routes from many parts of the UK. It is the terminus of the InterCity line from London and the North and is approximately five hours travel time from London-Paddington. There are direct through train services to the Midlands, the North-West and North-East of England as well as to Scotland.
There are also local services within Cornwall on a number of scenic routes.
