St Anthony Cottages - Holidays on the Helford Estuary in Cornwall
We have been catering for holidaymakers for more than a century on the Helford River so we can truly say we have unrivalled knowledge of our beautiful and tranquil part of Cornwall. Our enchanting location with comfortable cottages and unique boating and sailing facilities, make this one of the best holiday destinations in Cornwall for an idyllic and timeless holiday.
The Old Boatyard House
Accommodation Sleeps 8
This gorgeous house has direct frontage on to the Helford River and is set on the point separating Penarvon Creek from Helford Creek. One of just a handful of houses with water frontage on the south side of the Helford, Old Boatyard House was built in the 1990s on the site of the old Helford Boatyard.

Making the most of the stunning position, the superb living room has dual aspect windows and opens on to a terrace above lovely gardens running down to a small stone landing by the river. The dining room also opens onto the terrace, and leads back into the very well-equipped kitchen with Aga. The master bedroom on the first floor has a private balcony and ensuite, again with stunning views right across the Helford towards Port Navas Creek.
The Old Boathouse has a second lounge/snug on the ground floor, plus a utility room and ground floor WC. On the first floor there is twin bedroom 1 with ensuite, twin bedroom 2, a bunk bedroom and a separate bathroom.
There is parking for two cars by the house, and more at the top of the short sloping drive.

There is an outhaul off the landing for small boats and tenders. Moorings for larger craft are available off the Sailaway pontoon two hundred yards to the east.
The coast path to Frenchman’s Creek is just five minutes away. In Helford is the Shipwrights Arms, an outstanding pub, and a village shop.
