Perranporth on the rugged Atlantic coast has a beach 2½ miles long and is world renowned for its excellent surfing; swimming pool, rock pools and sand dunes. St. Agnes, Porth Joke and Chapel Porth are smaller nearby beaches. The 18 hole links golf course at Perranporth is very testing, concessionary green fees are available. There's a Gliding Club and horse riding. At Bolingey Village, only 2 miles away there is excellent course fishing. |
In the village of Goonhavern is a Pottery and 'The
World in Miniature' theme park. Both Newquay on the north coast and Falmouth on the south are within easy reach - shark and boat and beach sea fishing marks are plentiful. The river Fal is a Sailors Paradise. |
The majestic cliff scenery of the north coast and the quaint harbours and sheltered coves of the south coast are only a short drive away. |
Prehistoric remains and tin mining relics make Cornwall
a marvellous place to explore-truly a land of legend and beauty. It is easy
to leave the crowded centres far behind.
An information wall in the games room provides leaflets for all
these places. |
