Looe Valley

Route 1: Looe Valley

Length: 20 miles (32 km) Average Time: 4½ hrs

The Route: A route following the quiet lanes up the East Looe River to Liskeard, returning via the West Looe Valley. If preferred the route can be be adapted to start or finish at Liskeard.

Terrain: Some off-road sections on woodland tracks. Route includes 5 steep hill climbs.

Route 2: Polperro Pedal

Length: 12 miles (20 km) Average Time: 3 hrs

The Route: A hilly route taking in some coastal and inland lanes in the Looe and Polperro area. The route takes in a beach stop as well.

Terrain: Forest tracks and quiet country lanes, with a short stretch on a busy road. Route includes 3 major hill climbs.

Route 3: Moorland Magic

Length: 24 miles (38 km) Average Time: 6 hrs

The Route: A route starting at the ancient stannery town of Liskeard taking you up onto the southern half of Bodmin Moor exploring the villages of St Cleer and St Neot as well as Jamaica Inn.

Terrain: Exposed moorland route (Not recommended for a windy day) with no off-road sections.

Route 4: Churches & Cream Teas

Length: 14 miles (22 km) Average Time: 3 hrs

The Route: A route exploring some of the quieter villages nestled in the undulating valleys inland from Polperro.

Terrain: The route is along narrow country lanes with no off-road sections.

Route 5: Bindown Bonanza

Length: 11 miles (17 km) Average Time: 2½ hrs

The Route: A route with a reasonable amount of off-road tracks exploring some of the hidden areas to the north and east of Looe – Route includes a beach stop.

Terrain: The route includes 2 steep uphill climbs and some rough track sections.
