INTERNATIONAL GENEALOGICAL INDEX

The Genealogical Society of Utah has microfilmed and indexed many Cornish parish registers.
A copy of the index (I.G.I) is at RIC and CR0.

PRINTED SOURCES

Trade directories listing principal inhabitants, tradesmen and farmers (ci 800 - 1939) are at CSL and RIC, as are printed family histories and genealogical reference works.

OTHER RECORDS

Most classes of records can be used for family history research; initial enquiries to CR0. CSL, CR0 and RIC can provide photocopies of 1880 and 1907 Ordnance Survey maps. Local newspapers are held on microfilm at CSL and branch libraries: initial enquiries to CSL. Information on local groups' activities is available from the Cornwall Advice Link Line (CALL) at libraries and Information Centres throughout Cornwall.
