The Accommodation
Downstairs: Rose Cottage is a light and airy holiday house, great in Summer and cosy in Winter. The holiday cottage was completely refurbished two years ago and has a lovely light, fresh feel to it. The accommodation is spacious with a separate kitchen and dining room, as well as two sitting rooms and a conservatory, so there is plenty of space for everyone.
The first sitting room (the red room) has two sofas, a TV/DVD and a woodburning stove and is perfect for snuggling up in the Winter with the fire on. The conservatory connects the two sitting rooms; it is double glazed and has a seating area for gazing out to sea and watching the surfers by the beach. This leads into the second sitting room. The second sitting room is a large, pitched roof room with huge panoramic windows looking out on the bay, and Cape Cornwall in the distance. You can spend hours watching the surfers, or the wildlife (seals, dolphins, and occasional basking shark). There are two sofas and various occasional chairs furnished individually in Cath Kidston. This room has its own TV and DVD, as well as a CD player. Each sitting room has its own store of toys (meccano, cars, puzzles, games).

The kitchen is newly fitted and as we love cooking, you won't be short of implements, it is especially well equipped for a holiday home. There is a large range cooker with three ovens and a ceramic hob; the appliances are built-in including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/tumble drier.
The dining room has a large, extendable, oak refectory table with plenty of space to seat 10 people. The room is partly panelled and at high tide, you can feel as though you are on a ship! There is a high chair, booster seat and an iPod docking station. The fifth bedroom is downstairs and has a large white metal bunk bed, suitable for adults if need be.

The rear double has an iron, kingsize bed too, with french windows opening onto a large private deck, with views of the lifeboat station and the Atlantic beyond. There is a cosy bunk room to the side with beach views. The single room at the front has a single iron bed and a built-in cabin bed just over 6ft long (suitable for a teenager) ... and once again those fabulous sea views of Cape Cornwall and the beach. There is a shower room with loo, and a bathroom (with bath & shower) and loo.
