| Jenny Devereux is known as one of the finest floral printmakers. Her unique etching style, developed over the years along with her love of gardening and plants, and her sensitive, creative approach to the forms and materials found in the natural world combine to form images of a striking yet subtle nature. With an international reputation her work is collected throughout Europe, The United States and the Far East. Hand printed, in limited editions of 250, each etching is also finished with a variety of gold leaf, gesso, pastel and watercolour to create a truly individual work of art. |  |

Prints In my two prints Nasturtiums And Blue Jug and Blue Glass And Nasturtiums I wanted to catch the glowing colour of the flowers, and the way they open into umbrella spikes. The twisting and turning stems of the seed pods, combined with the 'wateriness' of the glass containers. Nasturtiums always grow best near water! The third print Fern Leaves And Bluebells is a collection of wild flowers picked on our farm in late Spring. Ferns, Bluebells, Ox-Eye Daisies and Water Avens - these have wonderful seedheads that look like cross spiders. I tried to capture this country posy with its informal wild flower shape. I always draw with the flowers in front of me, directly onto my etching plates. By working this way something of the spirit of the flower gets transferred. |
