This beautfiul single storey granite cottage is ideal for anyone looking for somewhere a little bit different to stay. Situated on the outskirts of the village of Zennor in a stunning landscape where craggy moorland meets the sea, it is the perfect romantic hideaway or the ideal base for exploring the dramatic coastline further.
Appealingly furnished to an exceptionally high standard and equipped with everything you will need The Byre is somewhere to completely relax and get away from it all, a luxurious haven for you both to escape to for a while, perfect at any time during the year.
Just a fifteen minute coastal drive with the sea as your backdrop takes you to the beaches, bars and restaurants of St Ives and the nearest pub is a leisurely five minute stroll away.

Decorated in keeping with the traditional nature of the building the cottage has a warm and relaxing feel. You will find all the essentials for a stress free break in the bright and spacious open plan living area: Lcd tv with freeview/dvd, cd player and wi fi access. The kitchen is fully equipped and has dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and a fridge/freezer.
After a day of sea and surf or walking the coastal path you can soak in the six foot bath, it also has a shower over.
The bedroom is a luxurious haven with plenty of space and a kingsize bed. Top quality bedlinen and plenty of towels are provided.
The entrance hall has lots of room for any outdoor gear or stuff for the beach and outside the private enclosed garden has a large lawn, sweeping countryside views and a pretty decked area, just the spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.
The cottage is fully double glazed and centrally heated and hot water is supplied via a solar panel, we get a suprisingly good amount of sunshine throughout the year, there is an immersion backup just in case, to ensure a constant supply.

The cottage is set on a small family run farm with a small beef herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle (no milking !) and a few sheep. Surrounded by a network of fabulous walking routes you can head out the front door and down the lane and in five minutes you will reach The Gurnards Head, a country pub with real fires and an award winning restaurant, the historic village of Zennor and the renowned Tinners Arms is only a mile away on foot.
Fifteen minutes in the car takes you to the pretty harbour of St Ives, there are five sandy beaches, numerous restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from. The narrow cobbled streets are lined with shops, studios and galleries to browse. A visit to The Tate Gallery and The Barbara Hepworth Gardens are a must for lovers of the arts ( the stunning views across St Ives from the gardens and the excellent cream teas at the gallery are sure to delight any slightly less enthusiastic visitors !)
Guests at The Byre are welcome to park at Trowan to access the coastal path from there or take the twenty minute countryside walk along the coast into St Ives if they wish. For the more adventurous, the walk from Zennor to St Ives is around 3 hours, the scenery is stunning.

Short breaks and flexibile arrival days are available out of season - please enquire.
We are able to accept families with a single baby/toddler and a travel cot is provided.
Gear Farm owned by Mark and Jess Pilcher has a small herd of Prize Winning Aberdeen Angus Cattle which occupy the outlying fields year round and a flock of sheep.
Sorry but we are unable to accept any pets.
