Part of the historic hamlet of Trowan the cottage is located in meadowland on the clifftops to the west of St Ives. Just a five minute drive or a twenty minute countryside walk with the sea as your backdrop, takes you to the beaches, restaurants, cafes and bars of the pretty harbour town.

Set in an area designated of outstanding natural beauty the cottage interior has been completely refurbished with top quality fixtures and fittings reflecting the stunning location. 

The open plan liviing/kitchen/dining area at Lower Trowan is bright and spacious with sweeping sea views. The handcrafted kitchen leads to a relaxing dining and sitting area which in turn opens out onto the gardens.

There are two bedrooms separated by a large family bathroom, one double looking out across the rolling countryside and a twin with views across St Ives bay to Godrevy Lighthouse. A bath with a powerful Grohe shower over makes the property especially suitable for families with younger children.

Vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, real oak flooring, cornish slate and granite create a fresh but still cosy feel. The windows have pretty wooden shutters and designer fabrics, crisp white bedlinen and plenty of towels are provided. Beds have quality mattresses and feather pillows and duvets.

The gardens have countryside, sea and sunset views, the perfect spot to enjoy a barbecue and al fresco dining.

The kitchen is handbuilt with granite worktops and is equipped with all you will need during your stay, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave and a selection of everything needed for preparation, cooking and serving but with the huge choice of eating places in St ives you may find these items are superflous to requirement !  

Whether you are catching up with friends or gathering with the family the dining area can seat six in comfort. Our personal chef is available to create anything from tapas to tiramisu. We are able offer guests a selection of options including welcome meals for anyone arriving late in the evening or a romantic dinner for two with no need to worry about a babysitter.

Trowan is a private gated community of twelve individual cottages most of which are private second homes. There is private parking for two cars on the edge of the hamlet and space for loading and unloading alongside the cottage.
 
A range of pre bookable options are availble to guests, complete an online grocery shop during the build up to your break and arrive to find your shopping carefully checked and safely put away allowing you to relax from the very second you arrive.

Holistic and beauty treatments are available in the privacy and comfort of the cottage.

Our personal chef is also available for cookery demonstrations.

Bookings are Friday to Friday. Arrival time is from 4pm and departure by 10am
