Granny was an Athlete!
It would take all day for Victorian Granny to do the family wash with tub, dolly or washboard and most of the week to dry and iron it! She also churned butter, beat the rugs and had to fetch heavy pails of water from the pump outside - not a lady to trifle with!
The Millstream Garden
Spend a while in the Millstream Garden at the Heritage Centre, and watch the Victorian working wheels turning every day, horse rounds, corn mills, turbines, hydrams and waterwheels.
