Dramatically beautiful 28 acre sub-tropical garden. The steeply wooded ravine descends to a private, secluded beach on the historic Helford River. A stream cascades over waterfalls, through ponds full of giant Koi carp and exotic water plants, through two acres of blue and white hydrangeas, spilling out over the beach. Glades of huge 100 year old tree ferns mingle with a forest of rhododendrons, magnolias and camellias under a canopy of ancient oaks and beeches. This is truly a garden for all seasons with colour and scent throughout the year.

Trebah is wild, extravagant, and enchanted, full of unexpected corners and beautiful surprises. It certainly is no formal, prissy garden - no clipped hedges, manicured lawns or "Keep Off The Grass" signs.

This is a garden that children adore. They marvel at the Gunnera passage, a tunnel of giant rhubarb 16 feet high, and race around the bamboozle. Trebah is full of play areas and trails for children of all ages, and with swimming and picnics on the beach, it makes the perfect setting for a family day out.

Set amidst the garden is the new £1.5 million Hibbert Centre, offering great new facilities for visitors. The Gallery at Trebah hosts a series of exhibitions through the year and is a superb venue for concerts and lectures. The Gift Shop has a wide selection of distinctive gifts, gardening books, toys, pottery and jewellery. The Plant Centre has a wide range of conservatory and outdoor plants with expert plant advice available. And the fully licensed Garden Café offers mouth watering home made dishes made using the finest local ingredients, making Trebah the ideal place to come for coffee or lunch with friends or family.

With the use if the new facilities Trebah is now able to host numerous events throughout the year, develop its educational focus and play host to RHS lectures and demonstrations.
