The Animals at Newquay Zoo

Make some
wonderful new friends at Newquay Zoo!

Welcome to the Zoological Gardens and British Wildlife Rescue Centre

If you enjoy lush exotic lakeside gardens in the company of free ranging mara, monkeys, wallabies and a host of fascinating birds you'll love a visit to Newquay's Zoological Gardens.
Many animals live on islands on the lake, whilst others inhabit natural open enclosures. Otters play in the stream in the oriental garden, raccoons and their babies forage for food among the rocks of the streams (or sleep in the trees). Red pandas explore their eastern enclosure and black apes entertain everyone with their behaviour.

Animal Encounter Meerkat

Zebra, antelope, porcupines and meerkats roam the African plains and the village farm is home to domestic animals. In the tropical house, live many birds, iguanas, sloths and other animals and it actually rains-it's a wonderful experience. The highlights of the day are the animal encounters and the feeding time talks, especially the lions, pumas, penguins and monkeys. There are rest areas, barbecue, cafe and patio, snack bar and a fascinating gift shop. There's so much to see, do and learn.

It's a zoo for all reasons and a wonderful day out for all ages.
