Folly Farm Cottage is situated just 5 minutes drive from the bustling seaside town of St.Ives, yet it is the most peaceful getaway imaginable. Set amongst acres of fields and nestled at the foot of Rosewall Hill and surrounding moorland, this traditional Cornish granite cottage is the perfect getaway imaginable. It boasts uninterrupted views of the countryside and offers direct access to the breathtaking coastal path to St.Ives. It is just off the rugged, unspoilt road to the picturesque village of Zennor, and further on to Morvah. This is one of the most scenic drives in the country and a must for all visitors.

The property is a traditional Cornish cottage with oak flooring, beamed ceilings and sashed windows with shutters. The woodburner and aga create a cosy cottage feel combined with the quality finish and stylish interior which make for a very comfortable stay.

The property is detatched and has ample offroad parking. There is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oil burning aga leading to an open plan dining area which is lovely and spacious. There is no land telephone line but there is ample mobile phone coverage. The lounge has a LCD TV with freeview and DVD and a log/woodburner. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and a w/c with a belfast sink.

The property has Wireless Wi-Fi access.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, 2 doubles and a single/twin (a truckle bed with a pull out integral bed underneath). The bathroom has a bath, shower, sink and w/c.

There is a decking area outside with seating.

We can provide a high chair and a cot - just ask!

There is no surcharge for ulitites.

This is a non smoking property.

Luxurious cotton linen and towels are provided as well as a complimentary welcome pack.

Payment and Arrival

We take a 20% deposit on booking Folly Farm Cottage and full balance settlement 2 weeks prior to your arrival.

We take a £200 damage deposit by cheque when you book which we keep until you depart.

Arrival is 3pm onwards and departure is 10am. Changeover is on Friday.

Folly farm is situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty but is within a stones throw of the the town of St.Ives with all the delights that it has to offer. It has three stunning beaches, one of which is excellent for surfing (and all safe for swimming). There are literally dozens of excellent restaurants ranging from high quality Michelin Star eateries, to basic but good family fodder. There are many beautiful shops, boutiques and of course art Galleries (including the Tate St.Ives which boasts spectacular panoramic views over Porthmeor beach).

Alternatively you can drive in the opposite direction and visit The Tinners Arms in Zennor or the Gurnards Head with it's award winning restaurant and stunning rural location.

There is a spectacular open top bus ride (1 minutes walk from the property) which takes you around the West Penwith Peninsula (encompassing Zennor, Pendeen, St.Just, Lands End, Sennen, Penzance and back to St.Ives).
