Rainbow Cottage is a quaint old fisherman's cottage from the 17C or earlier in a secluded alleyway just yards from the stunning harbour of St Ives.

Sleeps: 4 adults and 2 children.

The cottage is situated in a cobbled alleyway in the old Downalong Conservation Area of St. Ives and which runs from the old high street down to the harbour. The cottage interior retains its charm with beamed ceilings downstairs. Upstairs there are new wood ceilings and exposed beams in the attic, from where you can see a glimpse of the harbour and sea.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms set on 2 floors. On the 1st floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and another with two single (3') beds. The third bedroom is in the light and airy converted attic, where there is a double bed on a futon base. The lounge/diner and kitchen are on the ground floor, and the bathroom with toilet, bath and basin is on the 1st floor.

The cottage is well equipped. The kitchen has a cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. There are two televisions, both with DVD and one also with video, and a mini-HiFi system with radio/CD/iPod etc. dock. In the attic you will find buckets and spades and some beach toys, all of which you are welcome to borrow. All fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Low season £250 - £420 pw.
High season £545 - £800 pw.

St Ives is a pretty old fishing town with cobbled streets and is the ideal place to holiday with its fine sandy beaches.  It is renowned for its art galleries, including the Tate St Ives, and there are many other local attractions including St. Michaels Mount and attractive cliffside walks.  St Ives is also within easy reach of many famous gardens, including Trengwainton Gardens near Penzance, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.  
Rainbow Cottage is just a few minutes away from the popular harbour beach and a short walk from both the sheltered Porthminster beach and the lively Porthmeor surfing beach. It is very handily situated within minutes of the major places of interest in the old town and there are plenty of art shops and restaurants close by.
