It is less than a 5 minute drive or just a 20 minute countryside walk along the coast from the cottage to the sandy beaches, superb restaurants and eclectic galleries of St Ives. Cafes, pubs, bars, boutiques and shops surround the pretty harbour and line the cobbled streets.

The living accommodation at Higher Trowan is full of character and charm with an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and two large bedrooms, one kingsize and one twin plus a modern family bathroom with a bath and a shower.

The cottage is decorated in soft seaside shades and has a lovely fresh and contemporary feel. The exposed beams of the vaulted ceilings and natural timber floors give warmth and designer textiles and crisp white bed linen add the finishing touch.

The lounge has a fabulous woodburner and a huge set of French doors which open out onto the gardens. Tv with freeview/dvd an Ipod dock and wi fi are all available.

The handbuilt kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and has granite worktops; you will find all the necessities of modern day living including a dishwasher, microwave and a washer dryer plus some thoughtful additions including a picnic hamper.

Either of the bright and spacious bedrooms can accommodate a cot and the cottage is equally suited to both families and couples.  The beds are big and comfy and pretty finishing touches add all important holiday luxury. Towels are also provided.

The modern family bathroom has a bath with a powerful Grohe shower over, attractive wooden shutters at the window and a heated towel rail. There is plenty of storage space and an unlimited supply of hot water. 

The fabulous garden has spectacular sea and countryside views, lying to three sides of the property it catches the sun all day long. There is plenty of space in which to simply relax or for children to play and the barbecue and garden furniture on the patio are perfectly positioned for al fresco dining.

The hamlet of Trowan occupies a secluded cliff top position and has far reaching sea views, to the west is Godrevy Head and the lighthouse which is reputed to have been the inspiration for novelist Virginia Wolf. To the east between Trowan and Zennor colonies of grey seals are readily seen on The Carracks.
