This self catering, 2-bedroomed detached bungalow is situated on the Cornish Riviera in the historic market town of St Austell Cornwall. St Austell is Cornwall's largest town and is an ideal base for your holidays as it's only a short drive away from all points East, West, North & South in Cornwall. St Austell is the perfect location as it offers all the amenities you may wish for for a wonderful holiday right on your doorstep.

Close to the sandy beaches of St Austell Bay, only a short walk from the lovely, still working, 18C port of Charlestown, and set in a very central position to the historic market town of St Austell and surrounding environs, Mac's House is a charming & spacious 2-bedroomed self catering bungalow.
There is just one low step up to the bungalow and once inside, there are no other changes in level which makes for a wheelchair friendly environment.

The self catering accommodation offers a lounge, separate dining room, a main double bedroom, a twin-bedded room, a brand new fitted kitchen and a new, modern bathroom. It is centrally heated throughout.

Wi-Fi computer access is also provided, just in case you need to consult your emails whilst away.

To the front and side of the house is a drive with ample off-road parking for several cars, and the front garden has been set out with various grasses in a Mediterranean style.

The large, south facing, garden to the rear of the property is very sheltered and offers a really large paved patio area (50m³) as well as a smaller patio area with a barbecue.

There is also a large lawn so there's plenty of scope for you to relax in the garden if you want a "stay at home" day in between your touring or beach days.

The kitchen, which is furnished with a table and 4 chairs, is also very light with windows on three sides. It has been completely re-fitted in 2009. It provides a double oven with grill and extractor hood, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is an ample supply of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils etc for your needs.

The cosy dining room provides seating for 4 - 6 people and has a stereo radio/CD cassette player. We have a high chair for your use if you need it.

The living room provides very comfortable seating for 6 people and has terrestrial TV with a digibox for receiving all the Freeview channels as well as a DVD player.
There is also a gas fire in addition to the central heating radiators, although you won't need to use both !!

The main bedroom is furnished with a comfy double divan, wardrobe, bedside tables and dressing table/chest of drawers. The twin bedded room also has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. Both bedrooms have central heating radiators.

Duvets & pillows are provided.
Bedlinen/Towels can be hired.

The recently modernised bathroom features a full-size bath with a Power Shower, washbasin & WC.

The nearest beach is Porthpean, just 1 mile away.
The nearest golf courses are St Austell Bay Golf Course, Porthpean & Carlyon Bay all of which are 2mins away.
The nearest shop/supermarket is a short walk away and there are plenty of shops in the town which is just 15mins walk away.
The nearest pubs/restaurants are a mere 1 minute walk away, so no need to take the car and risk a breathalyser.

The nearest railway station is St Austell which is 15mins walk away and has extensive connections to other towns in Cornwall as well as, of course, to other towns in the country. For instance, London is on average, Just 4,5hrs away with some of the trains doing the trip in a really fast 4hrs !! Birmingham is just 5hrs away, so if you don't want to drive, you can, in the words of the old advert, "Let the train take the strain".........

The nearest bus stop is at ASDA and from the central bus station which is located by the railway station, you can take buses to local places of interest like the Eden Project as well as villages & towns such as Mevagissey, Truro, Penzance etc. Most of the buses pass through Mount Charles which is just 1 minutes walk away.

St Austell is also reachable with the National Express coach network.

The nearest airport is at Newquay which is about 20mins drive away, and with BA, Ryanair, Air SouthWest, FlyBe, BMI Baby and Skybus there are now a great range of flights to and from:
Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cork, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Leeds/Bradford, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, St Brieuc (France), as well as Zurich.
