We overlook the fabulous white sand beach at Sennen with views
of Longships Lighthouse and the Scilly Isles. It is a safe 5 minutes
walk, down through the sand dune valley, to both the beach and the
coastal footpath. Atlantic Lodge is an ideal place for a beach holiday,
for walking the coast or to explore western Cornwall. Penzance,
the Tate at St. Ives, the Minack Theatre, St. Michaels Mount, the
Scilly Isles and Lands End are all close at hand. Alternatively
Atlantic Lodge with its spacious accommodation, views and extensive
gardens can be used to simply relax.
Atlantic Lodge was built by the artist Harry Welch. The original
house, Victoria, was constructed in the 1890's and then Edward was
added during the early twentieth century. Many of the original features
still remain. The house forms two separate dwellings, Victoria offering
accommodation for up to ten people, and Edward which accommodates
six.
These properties can be joined together to provide spacious accommodation
for sixteen people. Occasional beds and a cot are also available.
