Chycoll Barn is a 19th century detached granite barn which has been extended and converted to a high standard. It can sleep 4/6 people and has all the facilities you need to make your holiday as comfortable as possible.

The Barn is situated 3/4 mile up an unmade lane in a very secluded rural idyll just minutes away from the lovely sandy beaches of West Cornwall and is surrounded by acres of its own land which help to provide the peace and tranquility that can transform a holiday in Cornwall.

Chycoll Barn is situated in an ideal position for those wishing to bird watch (Marazion Marshes, Nanquidno Valley, Hayle Estuary and Drift Reservoir), to pursue walking activities (in an area of "outstanding natural beauty, site of special scientific interest and heritage coastline") and go on painting and drawing holidays.

Also, because the Chycoll Barn is in a very secluded setting it would make an ideal retreat for anyone wishing to find peace and tranquility away from the whirlwind of normal daily living.

Accommodation

The accommodation is arranged with the living rooms upstairs and the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. The property is centrally heated with radiators in all rooms.

There are two bedrooms, each with stripped pine flooring. The largest bedroom has a very comfortable five foot double bed with a pocket sprung mattress and a sprung base. It has an ensuite shower and a separate ensuite WC and washbasin. This room is a lovely cosy and romantic hideaway!

The second bedroom has two comfortable three foot single beds.

There is a family bathroom with a bath (with shower over), WC and washbasin.

Upstairs there is a superb comfortable sitting room with a log burner, TV/DVD/HiFi and lovely views from every aspect. To the south you can see the sea in the distance and to the north, east and west you can see the countryside surrounding the barn. With east and west facing windows it benefits from morning and evening sun. Through french doors there is a verandah which has the benefit of lovely sunsets in the evening. The oak flooring is complemented by period oak furniture.

This room contains a double sofabed.

There is a fully fitted kitchen with dining area. Facilities include an electric fan oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. The washing machine is downstairs off the hall. There are views to the west, east and south towards the sea.

Except for towels, all bedding including duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillow cases, blankets and tea towels are provided.

Chycoll Barn is in a totally secluded setting, surrounded by unspoilt moorland and with instant access to lovely walks.

As the owners work in the arts, David is a musician and Coralie a potter/artist, when you come to stay at Chycoll Barn you can take the opportunity to use some of the creative arts facilities that are available.

Guests can take the opportunity to use the painting studio and separate pottery. There is kiln and picture framing equipment so you could take a finished work of art home at the end of the week!

There is also a recording studio which guests are most welcome to use, there is a selection of instruments to choose from, including a grand piano, guitars and a drum kit.

Chycoll Barn is totally secluded, located at the end of a 3/4 mile unmade lane which only serves the Barn and Chycoll (the cottage where the owners live). Normal cars can pass up the lane although it is wise to drive slowly. There is ample parking and the garden immediately in front of the Barn is available for the guests.

There are many superb walks immediately from the Barn. There is moorland rising behind the property which features an ancient hill fort and views from here stretch from St Michael's Mount, around the coastline to Land's End and on to the north coast.
