| Self Catering Holiday Accommodation in North
Cornwall, at Rock, Trebetherick and Polzeath. |
| All the houses in the brochure are personally
supervised by me on a weekly basis to ensure the highest standard
is maintained, and if you would like any help in selecting the right
one for you, then please ring me. I also look after one very exclusive
house in Rock which is available to a limited number of guests. |
| Rock |
| Rock is on the north side of the Camel estuary
opposite the fishing port of Padstow. It is ideal for sailing, windsurfing,
waterskiing and canoeing in the relatively calm waters, and there
is tuition and hire available for all these activities. |
| The ferry runs all year during daylight hours
for foot passengers between Rock and Padstow. During the evening there
is a water taxi available, so going over to eat at one of the many
restaurants in Padstow becomes easy and fun. Fishing trips for mackerel
and pollack can be arranged from the pontoon or just a trip around
the beautiful coastline to see the birds on a fine day. |
| Rock is particularly well served with shops for
self catering where you can buy fresh local produce. It has a butcher,
fish shop, baker, post office, paper shop, delicatessen and a really
good general store that has an off licence. There are also plenty
of good pubs and restaurants both in Rock and the surrounding villages.

| Polzeath |
| Polzeath has the main surfing beach of the area,
where the Atlantic rollers break over the sand and wash it clean twice
a day, and the back of the beach is raked early every morning. The
beach has now won the prestigious blue flag award and has an excellent
life guard team in attendance every day. |
| It is a wonderful place for a family holiday,
with rock pools along both sides for the young and not so young. Wetsuits
and surf boards of all shapes and sizes can be hired in the village
and lessons for all levels of surfers are available. |
| You can buy food and hot drinks at the back of
the beach from a variety of places or the local ice cream to pile
on the pounds. There are several restaurants, two supermarkets, but
the main attraction is still the surf. |
|
| Trebetherick |
| Trebetherick is a little village in
the Parish of St Minver between Rock and Polzeath. The world class
beach of Daymer Bay and Greenaway (a little cove of sand and rocks
on the Polzeath side of Daymer) are to be found in Trebetherick, as
is St. Enodoc Church. |
| Trebetherick village facilities include a post
office and grocers shop and a few other cafes and pubs can be found
close. The village of Trebetherick goes from quiet residential housing
that backs on to the golf links and merges with the surfing paradise
of Polzeath as you travel down the hill past Carters Pub towards the
cliff top Car Park. To the south of Trebetherick and Daymer Bay, you
can see Brea Hill rising between the dunes and beyond the dunes is
the resort of Rock. |
