Seaspray provides very comfortable accommodation for four adults. Two bedrooms, bathroom, living room with kitchen and dining area and a balcony overlooking the beach. The house is very well equipped with all the usual contents and bed linen is provided. Well behaved dogs and children are welcome and there is ample car parking. The house is strictly NON smoking!!

The house is situated just 100yds from one of Cornwall’s five ‘Blue Flag’ beaches, providing good sand and ideal for swimming, surfing, fishing, walking or just passing time. During the summer months it is patrolled by lifeguards, and there is a natural swimming pool hidden in the rocks which is filled by the tide. Dogs are not allowed on this beach from Easter until September 30, there are however plenty of other areas where dogs are welcome. The North Cornwall coastal path passes through the village and much of the surrounding land is in the care of the National Trust, so don’t forget your walking boots and rucksacks!

The house is very well equipped for four people with sitting, dining and balcony furniture, a cooker, microwave oven, slow cooker, fridge, toaster, kettle, plenty of crockery and cutlery, glasses, pots and pans etc, also a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, a clothes line and airer which can be put out on the balcony, T.V. and DVD player, hair dryer but no washing machine - sorry! There is also a pair of binoculars. A box of indoor games for all ages, a few surf/body boards (in loft space) and fishing nets are there for your use. Also, a set of golf clubs - but please don’t use them on the beach!

Bed linen is provided with duvets and pillows, but not towels, as is a selection of cleaning materials which we would ask you to replace if you happen to be the one to finish anything! We would hope that everyone would leave a roll of soft toilet paper for the next guests!

Seaspray is our home from home - we hope you will enjoy it and all it has to offer - please take care of it, there are many extras which are not usually found in holiday houses - if any accidents occur, and accidents do happen, please let us know so that we can deal with them properly (a note left on your departure would be sufficient). We suggest you arm yourselves with a copy of the O.S. Map ‘Explorer’ 104 - Redruth and St Agnes and a copy of the tide times, we have found them invaluable! (Both usually available at the Porthtowan Post Office).

Porthtowan is situated on the north coast of Cornwall half way between St Ives and Newquay. The village has a café, general store (which sells just about everything and is open until late all year round), a Post Office, surfing equipment hire shop, take away - pasties, fish and chips, ice cream parlour and juice bar, an hotel, a hairdresser, two pubs and village hall. The population of just over two hundred is very committed to maintaining the natural beauty and charm of the village and its surrounding countryside. The village hall has access for all to Internet and email facilities.

Although small and quiet, the village is largely self sufficient and well placed as a touring centre for west Cornwall. There are regular daily buses from the village to all parts of the county and Redruth railway station is just five miles away - connecting Cornwall with the rest of the world!
