THE PARK - Chiverton Park is situated in the heart of glorious Cornish countryside, and yet is only a short distance from the main A30, 5 miles from the delightful cathedral city of Truro, and only 3 miles from the rugged grandeur and beauty of the North Cornish coast, with it's many golden sandy beaches and coves, providing superb surfing or body boarding.

Perhaps you would prefer to explore our magnificent heritage, from Land's End to Bodmin Moor and Jamaica Inn; visit quaint working fishing villages or tin mining centres. Then there are Cornwall's many holiday attractions, such as The Eden Project, the newly opened National Maritime Museum, 'Flambards', with it's extensive Victorian Village, Aircraft museum complete with Concorde's Cockpit, and a host of free rides and slides for the young (or stout) of heart.

Within easy reach are the new heritage trails: Coast to Coast, Great Flat Lode and Tresavean, which whether by horse, bicycle or walking take you around some of the world's best-preserved historic mining landscapes.

CARAVAN HOLIDAY HOMES

Group 1 - Holiday Caravans: These are deluxe 3-bedroom caravans, 35ft long x 12ft wide, with additional insulation and heating making them ideal for the early or late holiday. They are essentially 6 berth but have a double bed in the lounge to make them 8 berth if required.

Group 1a - Holiday Caravans: These are deluxe 2-bedroom caravans, 28ft long x 12ft wide, with additional insulation and heating making them ideal for the early or late holiday. They are essentially 4 berth, but have a double bed in the lounge to make them 6 berth if required.

Group 2a - Holiday Caravans: These are deluxe 2-bedroom caravans, 28ft long x 12ft wide. They are essentially 4 berth, but have a double bed in the lounge to make them 6 berth if required.

Group 2 - Holiday Caravans: These are deluxe 2-bedroom caravans, 28ft long x 10ft wide, with additional insulation and heating making them ideal for the early or late holiday. They are essentially 4 berth, but have a double bed in the lounge to make them 6 berth if required.

Group 3 - Holiday Caravans: These are deluxe 2-bedroom vans of 26 or 28ft long x 10ft wide. They are essentially 4 berth, but have a double bed in the lounge to make them 6 berth if required.

TOURING AND CAMPING

Chiverton Park is a country park catering for tents, touring caravans and motor caravans. The pitches are all weather accommodating both tent/caravan and a vehicle. They have 16 amp, 10 channel TV feed, water supply and grey waste disposal. The park is level and sheltered. The new toilet block (2005) has family bathrooms, disabled wc, washing up area and laundry room and is kept at a comfortable temperature with underfloor heating. There are hot air hand dryers, shaver points and hair dryer. All apart from the laundry machines are included in the price. Breaks of a week or more allow free entry into the Gym, sauna and steamroom (over 18’s only).

The new all weather pitches vary in size from 9.6m x 4.8m ( 5 off) to 8.5m x 4.0m (5 off). This is the size of the all weather platform, total bay size is approx. 10m x 10m. The idea is that each platform can take a car + caravan and its awning or a car + large tent. The all weather base consists of 75mm depth of 19mm compacted ballast topped with 25mm of 10mm granite chippings. This is laid over a base of Terram sheeting to spread the load and alleviate rutting.Each base is individually drained using perforated soil drain pipe.Tent pegs can easily penetrate the substrate and achieve good holding (tested over the gales of late March no problems were encountered, even using standard pegs!). All weather pitches are fully serviced.

How to find us Travel along the A30 through Cornwall following the signs for Redruth. Approximately five miles east of Redruth is a large roundabout (Chiverton Cross) and Little Chef. Take the B3277 road to St. Agnes and in approximately 600 yards turn first left. Chiverton Park, where a warm welcome awaits you, is 300 yards on, on the left.
