Crantock Village
Penpol Farm is situated just under half a mile from the historical
Crantock village, which has a post office, convenience store, restaurant,
tea gardens, three pubs, a church and chapel along with art and
craft shops.
The village with its green, quaint thatched cottages
and peaceful atmosphere has many interesting walks. Large areas
of the parish are in the ownership of the National Trust, including
the beach, car park and the delightful cove known as Porth Joke
or Polly Joke. The Round Orchard in the centre of the village may
have been the site of an ancient Celtic chapel.
