The traditionally sized Cornish quaint bed and breakfast rooms at Pisky Cottage with their low ceilings lend themselves well to giving you a feel of the Cornwall gone by and the magical mythical presence of the small people who also live in Cornwall know as Pisky's.

Many people believe in The Cornish Pisky with many stories of sightings. The Cornish Pisky also known as Piskey or Pixie are said to be very much living along side us here in Cornwall. There are different types of Pisky called Spriggans, Brownies and Knockers.

You might be lucky enough to see them here at Pisky Cottage.

Situated in a lovely part of Mevagissey Pisky Cottage Bed And Breakfast is literally just a very short stroll to the harbour.

The owners Howie and Andy who are down to earth and friendly with many joint years experience of working in the hospitality industry from luxury four star hotels to the very relaxed. Pisky Cottage bed and breakfast  is the outcome of their joint experience where a homely yet polished service is offered to guests leaving you relaxed but also feeling a little pampered hopefully too.

Saying all this our hospitality is not intrusive and your privicy is respected at all times, you will have your own key to come and go as you please during your stay.

We are very much part of the Mevagissy community. Andy was born in Cornwall and feel this reflects in our attitude / pride and support of Mevagissey and it's community.

Our recommendations of where to eat and places to see will again reflect our being part of this village.

So we like to think that staying with us will help give you a taste of the real Cornwall and its people.

Pisky Cottage is a lovely listed building and as soon as you enter through the front door you come into the cosy communal lounge/dining room with it's low beamed ceilings instantly gives you that Cornish cottage feeling.

This room is very much the hub of the house with quirky and original art deco peices here and there...There is a nice collective mix of old and new which makes it a little quirky.

This is where people come and go or chat and share their day's events and escapades.This room brings you together not just with other guests but with the owners Andy and Howie too.
You will also get to meet the resident cats Kismet and Mable who are always available for that extra bit of fuss.

Leading off from here is the low and quirky staircase (another great feature of this cottage)  where you will have to duck a little...This leads you to to the Snug where you can sit and find all you need to relax from books and local information to games and DVD's...Aso you will find top ups for all your toiletries so you never run out

Either side of the Snug is your quaint and tastefully decorated room Pisky's Nook Or Little Spriggans.

Your safety is important to us
For our guests safety we have a up to date smoke detectors in all rooms of the house and fire protection equipment which is checked and serviced regularly.

Also all electrical equipment in our rooms is checked for electrical safety yearly.

Cleanliness
Is so important and is done only by the owners Howie and Andy who take this side of their work very seriously. Also all bedding and laundry is done on the premises by Andy too so again cleanliness is paramount and standards are high. We do not use top sheets because we always change our duvets for every new guests and not just the sheet. This is our promise to you.

Recycling your Rubbish
Andy is passionate about recycling what he can and has been kicking Howie into shape regarding this issue who has now got the message. So if recycling is important to you please know that your rubbish is being recycled for you while you are here.

Our normal great rates are from only £27.50 per person per night out of season in the Little Spriggans to £38.50 per person per night peak season in The Pisky's Nook. But don't forget to ask us about our out of season and last minute availability deals.

Prices include a choice from our A la carte breakfast menu served in our communal dining where guests can sit and chat while your breakfast is cooked unhurried and freshly to order.

For breakfast use original Art Deco China and silver cutlery with many other quirky deco peices to hopefully make your breakfast time with us a breakfast with a difference.

Start your day with a glass of orange juice. Then help yourself to a choice of cereals and our fruit choices.

While your fresh coffee (not instant) or your choice of tea is being brought to you choose from our main menu.

Full Cornish Breakfast
Bacon, Cornish fried egg, sausage, traditional Cornish hogs pudding, baked beans, freshly grilled tomato, fresh mushrooms, and toasted homemade bread.

English Muffins
Delicious lightly toasted English muffins topped with soft cream cheese and bacon or smoked salmon. Served with buttered Cornish scrambled eggs.

Hot Filled Croissants
Hot croissants filled with mushrooms, Bacon and melted Cheddar cheese.

Beans Beans and more Bean
Toasted home baked bread smothered with beans in a rich tomato sauce.

Simply Boiled
Two Cornish eggs boiled to your liking and served with Howie's toasted home made bread cut into soldiers of course.

We always have vegetarian bacon and sausage available so all the above options containing meat can be substituted to a vegetarian option, special requests and dairy free/gluten free diets are gladly catered for (please mention when booking).

If you only fancy something light try delicious toasted homemade bread with Cornish and our homemade Preserves.

Little Spriggans

This traditionally small cottage sized en suite double room is popular with guests for its charm and character and lends itself well for single occupancy too .It's typical cottage low ceilings and the sound of the seagulls from it's window really gives you that feel of being in Cornwall.

This room boasts having a flatscreen TV with a built in DVD player and many Freeview Tv and radio channels for guests to choose from/There is also an ipod dock and radio alarm clock/complementary hairdryer and kettle with a choice of tea/coffee and hot chocolate/Glasses and a corkscrew are also provided.

Pisky's Nook

If you are looking for a double room that encourages you to chill out after your day exploring around then this is the room for you. Offering flat screen TV and digital Freeview plus a built in DVD player so you can take full advantage of our free DVD selection and have a romantic evening. This room has it's own ipod doc too so bring your own ipod and listen to your own music while getting ready for your evening out. This room also has wine glasses and a corkscrew for you to use too. Hairdryer and beverage making facilities also included.

Please note that we always have top ups of all beverages downstairs in the guests lounge for you to help yourselves, so you will never run out. Here you will also find a selection of herbal / fruit teas to take to your room if you wish. Also fresh milk is available for guests to take to their rooms all free of charge.

Have your personal birth chart drawn up and then have it translated and a reading done for you while you are here at Pisky Cottage.

Andy is very much into his Astrology and is very knowledgeable on this subject and has done many interesting readings for people.

He will draw up your very own chart for you to keep and then give you a personal 1 to 1 reading during your stay here at an arranged time to suit you.

Andy is a lovely gentle and relatable person and easily makes you feel comfortable and at ease so don't worry if you are a little nervous.
