The Restaurant

We are rightly proud of the Mount Haven Restaurant, which has recently been awarded a second AA Rosette. The decor is chic and inviting, with comfortable seating, crisp white table linen, fresh flowers, and beautiful local art for you to enjoy.
One of the delights of the restaurant is the fresh local, and mainly organic ingredients that we use. Our talented team of award-winning chefs are spoiled with the quality of Cornish produce and take great satisfaction in preparing and cooking it in ways that best complements the great natural flavours and textures. For example, all our fish comes from the port of Newlyn just the other side of the bay. It may sound obvious, but you can really taste the freshness of fish landed that morning and cooked expertly that same day. The meat is from a local farmer right at the tip of the Peninsular in St Just. His animal welfare is amongst the best practice in the country - you’ll find the tenderness of the meat proof of it.

The Area
The Mount Haven is located near the tip of Cornwall, just 12 miles from Land’s End. Being a little further along the Cornish peninsular, means that the area remains uncrowded and unspoiled by the ravages of mass tourism. So while it may take a smidgen longer to get here, the rewards are well worth it.
The first things you’ll notice are that the landscape is bathed in an incredible light [the sunsets behind the Mount are simply stunning] and that the air is exceptionally clean and fresh.
The Mount Haven itself is located a short stroll away from the picturesque village of Marazion. As well as offering lots of shops and galleries to browse around, it’s also the staging post to explore St Michael’s Mount and immerseyourself in its three thousands years of history.
If you wish to explore the mainland, there are numerous National Trust walks along the cliffs and isolated beaches to be discovered. The nearby villages of Perranuthnoe and Prussia Cove are not only beautiful but the walks there are spectacular and not beyond even the faint-hearted. Just bring the right shoes. The Minack Theatre, built into the cliffs at Porthcurno is the ninth wonder of the world and worth visiting even if there are no performances to watch. Porthcurno is of course a great place to spot the seals and basking sharks. The beach is heavenly and the sea a colour we haven’t seen outside Sardinia.
