SITUATION

The property lies on the outskirts of the charming hamlet of Draynes, which is approximately 10 miles north of Looe & 10 miles south east of Bodmin. The surrounding countryside is amongst some of the most attractive in the county and is scattered with an array of interesting historical sights including the nearby King Donierts Stone, Trethevy Quoit and a number of medieval settlements. For those with an interest in walking the nearby Golitha Falls offer several miles of woodland walks adjoining the River Fowey. Water sports enthusiasts are also well catered for at Sibleyback Lake. Nearby villages cater for most day to day needs with a selection of general stores and public houses. For those seeking a more comprehensive selection the market town of Liskeard offers a choice of national retailers. The city of Plymouth is approximately 20 miles to the east.

DESCRIPTION

There are three holiday letting units with open plan living areas, two 2-bedroomed have a shower and the one 1-bedroomed has a bath with shower over. Each has it’s own garden. All of the properties retain a number of character features including vaulted ceilings, areas of exposed stonework, open truss beamwork, farmhouse style kitchens and handmade windows. Externally the property has a large parking and turning area. The owners’ house and holiday cottages lie nestled in a southerly facing hillside within 2 acres of grounds. Water supply is by a 150’ deep bore-hole, and is certified as pure.

The main house and the one-bedroomed cottage were converted in 2000. The two 2-bedroomed cottages have been completed in the first quarter of 2005. There is no extra charge for heating or electricity. We will provide bed linen and 1 bath and hand towel per person.

THYME COTTAGE

Occupancy, Saturday to Saturday, sleeps 4. We regret no smoking or pets accepted. Water is from borehole, which is U.V. treated and tested regularly for purity.

Thyme Cottage is a charming, spacious, two-bedroomed (one double and one twin) cottage with many rustic and character features.

Open plan living area comprises, kitchen, dining and sitting area with electric log-effect burner for those cosy evenings. Full oil-fired central heating for your warmth and comfort throughout. Fully equipped kitchen with 4-hob cooker, microwave oven, dish-washer and fridge. The bathroom has a heated towel rail, shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin. Bed linen, towels and heating provided at no extra cost.

Ample parking, own garden with garden furniture and barbeque provided. There is also access to further lawned area.

LAVENDER COTTAGE

Occupancy, Friday to Friday, sleeps 4. We regret no smoking or pets accepted. Water is from borehole, which is U.V. treated and tested regularly for purity.

Lavender Cottage is a charming, spacious, two-bedroom (one double and one twin) cottage with many rustic and character features. Open plan living area comprises, kitchen, dining and sitting area. Full oil-fired central heating for your warmth and comfort throughout. T.V. and radio/CD player.

ROSEMARY COTTAGE

Occupancy, Saturday to Saturday, sleeps 2 (1 double bed + cot if required ). We regret no smoking or pets accepted. Water is from borehole, which is U.V. treated and tested regularly for purity.

Rosemary Cottage is a charming, spacious, one-bedroomed cottage with many original features. The open plan living area, bedroom and bathroom are all on the ground floor. Open plan living area comprises, kitchen, dining and sitting area with multi-fuel burner for those cosy evenings.

Fully equipped kitchen with 4-hob cooker, microwave oven and fridge. The bathroom has a heated towel rail, bath and over bath shower, toilet and hand basin. Bed linen, towels and heating provided at no extra cost.
