| Puddleduck Cottage is a lovely, spacious,
quality double fronted 18th Century stone-built property, centrally
situated in a row of cottages and is only a few yards from the
river, the popular Ship Inn and our excellent local Post Office/General
Stores and riverside village green. |
| The cottage has the benefit of the use of
a rowing boat and has its own WiFi Broadband Hotspot for those
who need to stay in contact with the 'real' world! |
| Out of season Puddleduck is priced for 2
people, with a small extra charge per additional person. |
| For the benefit of allergy sufferers, no
pets or smoking are allowed in the cottage. |

| This character cottage has much charm,
with low ceilings, exposed beams, natural wood and stripped
pine features. It is fully furnished and equipped to a high
standard to comfortably accommodate 2 - 8 people. |
| Lounge/diner - spacious with large
dining table seating eight plus ample easy chairs and colour
TV with DVD Player (some DVDs provided). There is also a coin-operated
telephone. |
| Kitchen - excellently fitted, with
generous cupboard space and worktops. Equipment includes electric
cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine,
tumble dryer, dishwasher and food processor. |
| Bathroom - with wash-hand basin,
wc, heated towel rail and electric shaver socket. Shower room
- with instant electric shower and heated towel rail. -- Separate
WC. Wall mounted Hairdryer in Hall. |
| Bedrooms - Two rooms with double
beds (one with wash-hand basin). Two rooms with twin beds. |
| All bedrooms are of good size and have bedside
tables and lamps. There is also plenty of hanging/drawer storage
space. Good quality bed linen and duvets are provided, including
personal towels. |
| A cot, high-chair and safety stair gate
are also available (but please bring your own linen for the
cot). Equipment includes TV & DVD player; cooker, microwave;
washing machine, tumble dryer; dishwasher; fridge/freezer; food
processor; heated towel rails, wall-mounted hairdryer and payphone.
Electricity is included in the tariff. Free car parking is 50
yards from the cottage. |
| A rowing boat is available (by arrangement
and at users’ own risk) so you can enjoy rowing along this beautiful
river. A selection of buoyancy aids is available in the cottage.
Access to the Garden, which overlooks the river, is via a footpath
from the back of the cottage. The Garden overlooks the river,
has splendid views and is fully enclosed with Summer House,
Picnic Bench and Barbeque. |
| Lerryn Village and the Local Area |
| Lerryn is a magical place, peacefully nestling
in a lovely tree lined river valley. A small friendly, picturesque
riverside village, Lerryn is set in a conservation area within
an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has magnetic appeal
to artists; walkers; country lovers; boating enthusiasts and
is much appreciated by residents and visitors alike. The River
Lerryn runs through the middle of the village and has glorious woodland walks on either side,
some private woodland and some National Trust and Forestry Commission
owned. |
| Leisure interests are well catered for locally,
with fishing, horseriding, sailing, golf and swimming all within
a short drive. There are wonderful sandy bays and quiet coves
nearby as well as popular areas such as Looe; Polperro; Fowey;
Carlyon Bay and Mevagissey. |
| The Eden Project is approx 9 miles with
the Lost Gardens of Heligan approximately 13 miles. Lanhydrock
(the famous Cornish National Trust property) is only 5 miles
away. Further away, on the North coast, but within easy reach,
are Newquay, Padstow and Tintagel. |
