Local Area
One of this property’s greatest assets is the fact that the historic Tresavean Tramway runs alongside he property. This tramway forms part of the Cornwall Mineral tramways project. This is a haven for cyclists, horse riders and walkers. The rich mining areas of Cornwall’s central mining district now benefit from a 60km network of multi-activity trails. New trails have recently been created to link with existing routes such as the Coast to Coast trail, being mainly traffic free. The network offers people a unique opportunity to access a wide area that is rich in mining heritage and dramatic landscapes.
Next door is Lanner Equestrian centre - They have lovely calm, relaxed and settled horses and ponies ranging from 12hh to 17hh. Holiday goers can partner with them to learn ground skills, flatwork & dressage, show jumping and cross country and take them for rides out on the amazing network of bridleways and tracks in the fabulous countryside of West Cornwall.
Of course, we cannot forget our glorious beaches!
Portreath, with its rugged cliffs, fantastic surf, famous pasty shop and pretty harbour is just four miles away. Other glorious North coast beaches within easy reach include Perranporth, Gwithian, Hayle and the unforgettable St Ives Bay and Godrevy Light house. Bring your binoculars to see the seals! A twenty minute drive to the east takes you to the historic port of Falmouth and The Carrick Roads, renowned for sailing. To the South is the beautiful Helford River with its secluded coves and wonderful gardens.
St Ives, with its abundance of art galleries, workshops and places to eat and drink is well worth a visit, as is Truro, our vibrant capital cilty, which boasts a stunning cathedral, theatre and an array of attractive shops.
Whatever the weather, this is an ideal location from which to explore our beloved Cornwall.
Bring your bikes and surfboards and live the experience!
