Set within its own grounds of over two acres, the Whipsiderry
Hotel overlooking Porth Beach and bay with breathtaking sea
and countryside views. The Whipsiderry is a peaceful family
run hotel within easy reach of the popular town of Newquay.
The Hotel
The hotel has infinite character and charm.
Our attractive lounge bar offers spectacular panoramic views
of Porth Beach, Newquay and the surrounding countryside.
The Hotel has 23 well appointed bedrooms,
some with lovely sea views, and some at ground floor level.
All bedrooms are en-suite with bath or shower. Rooms have
radio alarms, colour television, hair drier and tea & coffee
making facilities. There is also a launderette for guests'
use.
The Hotel offers
two further lounges for our guests comfort.
Always popular is our outdoor heated swimming
pool, set in the quite garden of the hotel.
Patio and pool side service
is available all day, so guest can enjoy morning coffee, light
lunches, bar drinks or a traditional Home-made Cornish Cream
teas.
The cuisine is high on the list of
attributes producing a six course evening meal with choose
of menu. We include a selection of English and international
cuisine with an excellent range of traditional and modern
food to suit all taste, always putting emphasis on fresh local
produces. Special diets and children can always be catered
for.
The hotel has a very attractive
bar lounge, with panoramic views of Porth Beach and Newquay.
Guests can enjoy the comfort of the bar or drinks can be taken
out onto the patio, where you can enjoy the fine views in the
cool of the evening.
Entertainment
The Hotel
provides various entertainment throughout the week. Very popular
are our Mackerel fishing trips run by Andy. On nice summer evenings
Andy can take as many as four boats leaving Newquay Harbour
for an hours fishing. At the end of the evening the Hotel cooks
the fresh catch for all concerned for supper in the Bar.
Bathing and surfing can be enjoyed
at both Porth and Whipsiderry awarding winning Beaches.
Why not just swim and relax at the
hotel's own heated swimming pool.
Things to do
While enjoying the quiet surroundings of
Whipsiderry, The town of Newquay close by offers a comprehensive
range of entertainment if required. Including the award winning
Newquay Zoo and Trenance Gardens, we are also a central base
to visit the many magical sites and scenery Cornwall offers,
from idyllic National Trust properties to the bracing Lands'
End and Flambards Theme Parks, to the world famous Lost Gardens
of Heligan. From gentle country walks to more demanding coastal
footpaths. Cornwall can certainly fulfil everyone's holiday
requirements.
