The rooms in the main house are a perfect
blend of the traditional and the modern, and with double, family,
single and twin rooms available, we have rooms to suit everyone.
All have en-suite facilities (most with a Spa bath and/or power
shower), TV with 5 additional Sky channels (including Sky Sports
1, 2 & 3) and radio, hospitality tray, telephone with voicemail,
child listening facility, and a laptop point. In some of our rooms,
there is also space for a cot.

Beautifully converted from the original
stables just to the rear of the main house, our three Cottage Suites
are perfect for families or those who like more space and privacy.
These all have two bedrooms and en-suite facilities, TV with 5 additional
Sky channels (including Sky Sports 1, 2 & 3) and radio, hospitality
tray, telephone with voicemail, child listening facility, and a
laptop point. Some rooms are large enough for additional beds or
cots for children.
Cottage 1
- is on the ground floor, has a separate sitting room, a Spa bath
and power shower.
Cottage 2
- is on the first floor, and also has a separate sitting room.
Cottage 3
- is on the ground floor, and has a Spa bath and its own secluded
private garden.

Cornwall produces a great abundance of wonderful
foods, and our head chef, Paul Tamplin, creates his menus around
the fantastic fresh fish and seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables
that he sources locally. Our extensive wine list offers a wide choice
of wines from around the world, and you’ll find they are always
good value.

The Garden Restaurant (non smoking) serves breakfast
and our Carte du Jour menu, offering a good choice of starters,
main courses, homemade puddings and cheeses, with a selection of
vegetarian dishes always available. This is the ideal place for
a family meal, as there is a special children’s menu available,
or half price meals from the main menu for under 10’s.
The Conservatory Brasserie (smoking permitted)
or the Cellar Bistro (non smoking, open during the summer months)
are relaxed but stylish venues for evening meals. Both offer a variety
of local dishes, continental and ethnic cuisine, from salads and
steaks to curries and seafood specialities.
The Conservatory Brasserie also offers a wide
lunch menu, and on fine days, where better to dine than al fresco
in the garden?
Refreshing drinks are available all day from
the hotel bar, and during the summer, our Club Bar is open in the
evening, offering a more casual atmosphere and early evening entertainment
for younger guests.

renowned for our golfing expertise – Bowood Park Golf Club is next
door, and we can happily make arrangements for you to play there at
reduced green fees, or at any of the many golf clubs in the area.
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, making this a wonderful
area for walking, be that on the glorious coastal footpath, on Bodmin
Moor, or circular walks from the hotel itself. |
