The Edgcumbe Hotel is situated in a superb position, overlooking the sea at Newquay , Cornwalls premier resort. A resort that offers so much to holiday makers , young and old, throughout the four seasons of the year.

Dominating the town is the rugged coastline with seven miles of golden sand washed by the Atlantic Ocean. Newquays beaches provide firm golden sand backed by dramatic cliffs with coves , sand dunes, caves and exiting rock pools ready and waiting to be explored. And of course some of the best surfing in the country, hosting leading international surfing championships for a number of years.

The eighty eight guest rooms at the Edgcumbe Hotel are very comfortable - some designed as family suites and studio rooms all with bathroom or shower en - suite. Rooms are well furnished with colour television , facilities for hot drinks, baby listening , radio and direct dial telephones. Many rooms have fine sea views,others face south and overlook the gardens and pools.

Whenever you visit us , you will be warm and comfortable with efficient central heating throught the hotel .

For the young children cots and high chairs are provided and there is a launderette with automatic washing machines , tumble dryer ironing facilities and airing cupboard.

Our air conditioned dinning room offers an extensive breakfast menu, a five course table d'hote dinner menu and a fine A la Carte menue with specialities cooked to order.

Our coffee shop is open for most of the day serving teas, coffees and light lunches - hot & cold,and and splendid Cornish Cream Teas.

The outdoor pools are rather special at the Edgcumbe Hotel, sheltered on all sides forming an ideal suntrap. The terraces are popular with our guests for sunbathing and the children have their very own pool with an island in the centre.

You can also swim in the " CORAL REEF " our attractive and very warm indoor pool , with a heated terrace to rest on between swims. There is also a modern sauna , solarium and spa bath facilities in which you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Every day at the Edgcumbe Hotel there is something going on to suit everyone , from the day we open to the day we close including dancing in the ballroom, disco's, snooker and table tennis tournaments, and there is plenty for teenagers to do as well.

The "Down under " club rooms are well out of earshot, with video games, pool table, table tennis and satellite television.

If you feel like a quite time, there is a separate billiards room and a very pleasant sun lounge facing south, overlooking the outdoor pools and garden..

For the younger children dinner is served early in the evening at the coffee shop with a special menu all of there own.Trays for small children may also be taken upstairs.

There is a fully equipped play room with special entertainment for the children including magic shows, Punch and Judy swimming galas and fancy dress parties. in fact everything you could want to make your holiday perfect.
