| Welcome |
| The Field of Dreams is near Penzance,
Cornwall. We hire the house to groups of people throughout the
year; it has the benefit of a large (60 square metre) studio
which can be used for a variety of purposes. |
| In the summer and school holidays we
rent the house as a holiday let by the week to large families
and groups of friends as an ideal base for beach, walking and
ornithological or acheological holidays. |
| Throughout the rest of the
year the house is also available for hire for shorter periods
such as weekends or long weekends. |
| The Field of Dreams is a converted
granite barn and stables nestling around a spring in the heart
of West Cornwall a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. |
| The light and spacious grouproom opens
onto a sheltered courtyard; the accommodation for 18 is full
of character and individual touches. |
| In the atmosphere of magic and mystery
of this ancient wild landscape the house is an ideal place for
holidays, retreats, healing, meditation, celebration and connection,
combining stillness with energy. |
| The House |
| Field of Dreams is a residential workshop
centre set in the heart of the West Cornwall peninsula. The
artistically converted barn and stables of warm granite and
douglas fir sit in a sheltered valley of small fields lined
with Cornish hedgerows by a woodland-edged stream, surrounded
by the grandeur and wildness of the moors and their mysterious
sacred sites. It is away from the rush yet within 10 to 15 minutes
drive in all four directions of the Atlantic, its imposing cliffs
and sandy beaches. |
| At the heart of the house
is the large kitchen, with wood-burning stove, opening onto
the sunny dining room and the large winter garden and deck overlooking
the stream and patio. The garden is large and secluded. |
| Sleeping Accommodation |
| The Field of Dreams will accommodate
20 singles or 11 couples. The accommodation consists of: |
Lakshmi:
Double bed, single bed, sleeping and gallery (up stairs)
with double mattress. Suits three singles or one/two couples

Freya:
Double bed, double sleeping gallery (up ladder). Suits two
singles or one couple. |
Sarasvati:
Twin. Suits one couple or two singles. |
Persephone:
Double bed and single bed. Suits one couple or two singles.

Bridget:
Double bed. Suits one couple or one single. |
Aphrodite:
Double bed. Suits one couple or one single. |
Sophia:
Sleeping Gallery above conservatory, twin. Suits one couple
or two singles. |
| Local Area |
| The landscape of West Penwith has a
special atmosphere and energy which connects us to our roots,
the four elements, the sacred earth mysteries and the dreamtime.
It has the highest density of stone circles, menhirs, and other
power places in the UK. Within walking distance of the house
are two holy wells and an iron age underground temple where
the Goddess was worshipped, and the intact stone circle of Boscawen,
isolated enough for ceremony and meditation, is a 7 minute drive.

| Three miles west lies Lands End and
the long sandy surfing beach of Sennen. The south coast, from
the charming fishing village of Mousehole to the sheltered beaches
of Porthcurnow, consists of rounded granite cliffs with sub-tropical
vegetation in sheltered valleys. The north coast is ragged and
wild where the moors meet the sea. St. Ives with its beaches
and art galleries, is a half hour drive to the north-east. |
