Goldsithney offers two pubs, a post office, a very well stocked village shop and a play area for the children. There is also a Chinese / Cantonese Restaurant and Takeway within walking distance and a fantastic Mitchelin Star Restaurant also within a mile - The Victoria Inn at Perranuthnoe. Goldsithney is just a mile away from the magical Mounts Bay and St Michael's Mount, a castle atop a rocky cragg only accessible by foot at low tide, otherwise jump aboard one of the local ferries and they will take you safely across. Marazion beach is a safe haven for young children and families and also has lifeguard patrols. If its learning to surf you are after there is also a surf school here. Within another mile you also have the intimate beach of Perranuthnoe, a haunt for locals! Praa Sands another popular beach, good for surfing just 5 minutes in the car - .Praa Sands also boasts a nine hole Golf Course. St Ives, with its Tate Gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and a whole cluster of artists’ studios, is just 20 minutes away. West from Goldsithney, and within an equally easy drive is Lands End with its myths of lands under the sea. Here in West Cornwall no matter which way you turn you have a whole host of tiny fishing coves and hidden beaches to explore. Take part in the experience that is the Minack Theatre (built into the cliffs – an open air theatre with the sea as a back drop, no matter what the weather they perform!). East, and again within easy driving, is the Lizard, the most southerly point in Britain . For those feeling fit, we’re also within striking distance of the Cornish coastal path with its miles of Coastline to take in. The Eden Project is an absolute must, as are the Lost Gardens of Heligan, both are a mere 45 minutes away by car. Lounge Kitchen Dining Room Accommodation ON THE GROUND FLOOR there is the lounge with four black leather settees which can seat up to 10 people, a widescreen tv, dvd and video player. The bay window looking out onto the front patio/garden area. The separate dining room has an antique oak table that seats eight people comfortably and again the bay window looks out onto the front garden area. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, microwave and all the utensils to make a roast dinner!! You also have a CD player, a televison and casual seating for six. The back door opens out into the garden, which is fully enclosed and has patio furniture and barbecue facilities. It is a real sun trap and is an ideal spot for private sun bathing. There is also a downstairs toilet. In the separate large utility room there is washing machine, tumble drier and a fridge freezer. A shelf full of books to read and a good storage area for all those sea side items. Master Bedroom Double Bedroom ON THE FIRST FLOOR we have the four bedrooms. The first bedroom you come to is the bedroom that overlooks the back garden, it has warm chocolate & cream feel, with a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, this room also has the benefit of a wash hand basin. The other bedroom that looks over the back garden is the twin room with antique matching mahogany beds and a massive antique wardrobe - which I dare anyone to fill! This room also has a wash hand basin. Opposite this to the front of the house is the lilac room with a lovely Edwardian double bed with drapes over and boasts not one but two wardrobes and a matching edwardian inlaid dressing table. This room also has an ensuite bathroom with shower. The Master Bedroom boasts an oversize King Size (5 foot 9 inch) Indian Antique Four Poster Bed, antique walnut wardrobe and matching dressing chest. This room also has an ensuite with shower. Lets not forget the family bathroom with shower over the bath and a separate partitioned toilet. Double Bedroom Twin Bedroom Bathroom ON THE SECOND FLOOR is the newly converted attic room. Here we have a 3/4 size snooker / pool table complete with all the necessary snooker / pool balls and cues and even a score board! Over the snooker table we have created table tennis again with all the necessary nets, balls and equipment. With five settees up here there is plenty of room to watch the wannabe 'Higgins' OR switch on the TV and watch a DVD or Video OR even have a go on the Wii (remember to bring your own favourite games!). Send the kids up here on a rainy day and you won't hear a sound! We have a limited selection of Videos and DVD's but the facility is here so bring your own favourites with you. OUTSIDE is off street parking for one car. Please park close to the front garden wall. There is also plenty of parking on the street right outside in the village for a second car.
