Merlin Golf Course is a beautiful hilltop
heathland course set on the North Cornish Coast, enjoying
amazing views towards the sea.
Close to Mawgan Porth and only a short
drive from Padstow, the course is easily accessible
from the A30 and only 5 mins from Newquay's international
airport. The course is designed for beginners and the
more experienced golfer who wants to enjoy a relaxed
game and take in the fresh coastal air.
About Us
Merlin is now
under new ownership and is benefiting from investment
at all levels. Redesigned to cut out long walks from green
to tee, with new bunkers and tees to create a great holiday
golf course. A challenge is still maintained for competitions
off the white tees.
Landscaping is taking place
around the club house and on the course and the club
house itself is being extended and refurbished throughout.
An all new pro-shop will be complemented by comfortable
lounge and bar areas with a new restaurant and exciting
menus. The course will also now benefit from luxurious
accommodation, with four new apartments built above
the club house, all enjoying magnificent views towards
the North Cornish coast.
Location
The easiest way in to the golf
course is from the Newquay to Padstow coastal road (B3276).
From Newquay take the Padstow
road to Mawgan Porth, then turn right onto the St.Eval
road at the top of the hill, follow the signs to the
course.
From Padstow take the Newquay
road as far as Mawgan Porth, turn left just before Mawgan
Porth onto the St.Eval road, and then follow the signs
to the course. Follow the drive way until you get to
the car park and reception.
