INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL GROUP BOAT CLUB

Trya and Energy, 2 stretched Cygnus Cyclones from LooeFishing throughout the winter months is on a limited basis i.e: boats are booked on a day charter basis only, ideal for groups and clubs. Therefore if you are an individual or a small group it is not easy to place you early or late in the season. So we have formed a special boat fishing club. We will of course endeavour to place you on the dates you require but even better, each year a series of weekend and midweek dates will be selected, carefully chosen to coincide with a good set of tides. So all you have to do is choose the date you require, this will enable you to join others who show the same enthusiasm as you for an enjoyable fishing break.

SEA

BOAT FISHING

Terry with very large BreamAll our skippers are fully professional seamen with many years experience fishing the local waters of Newquay, Padstow and Mevagissey. Their boats are fully equipped for the angler with Fish finders, Decca navigation, Radar, Safety Aids etc. Rods reels and bait are provided on the boat if required but not the terminal tackle. Gwel an Mor can provide the terminal tackle on a lose and buy basis. You can keep all the fish you catch apart from sharks which, if it is thought to be a record or cannot be tagged and returned, remains the property of the boat. We cannot guarantee you fish but we do guarantee that our skippers will try 101%. There have been no fishless days yet from the hundreds of wrecks and reefs, off the North Cornish Coast, where Conger. Ling, Pollock, Cod, Pouting, Mackerel, Gurnard, Garfish, Coalfish. Monkfish, Sunfish, Triggerfish, Ray. Tope. Porbeagle and Blue Shark (to name but a few of the locally found species) can be caught in abundance. You may even be treated to some spectacular sights while out at sea, such as schools of Porpoise or Dol- phins. Seals, Basking sharks or even a Whale.

CHOOSE from 8, 10, 12 hours duration wrecking, reefing or general ground fishing trips. 12 hour Conger hunts and night trips. Children under 12 years suitable for 4 hour boat trips through the summer only.

A Belgian angler with a 100lb plus Blue SharkSHARK FISHING trips are of 8-9 hours duration. The Blue sharks generally arrive on the gulf stream in early June through till the end of September. although the Porbeagle may be hunted earlier or later in the season. This is the nearest you will get to big game fishing in this country and it is very exciting when you get your first shark run. Blues can be up to 120 lbs, Porgies upto 500lbs and there is a chance that something bigger. the odd Thresher or Mako, may make an appearance.

The most popular mini break is 3 nights bed & breakfast with 2 days fishing, this enables you to arrive the night before the fishing and leave refreshed the day after. if you are stormed off you can try your hand at:-

SHORE FISHING

Ed Schliffke, known as the bait man of Britain, operates from Treyarnon bay. near Padstow and will take you to the best fishing marks of the day, either from the beach or the rocks. Tuition, rods, reels, terminal tackle, and bait are all supplied. Fish such as Conger. Pollock, Mackerel, Wrasse and bass are among the many species that can be caught from the shore.
SHORE FISHING is on a half day basis - Day or Night sessions available.

NOTE:- All boat and shore fishing is subject to local weather and tidal conditions prevailing at the time. Fishing throughout the winter months is on a limited basis only.

Please remember that if bringing nothing else DO NOT FORGET to bring warm and waterproof clothing (It can be cold and wet out at sea even in the summer).

AND REMEMBER whilst every care is taken by the organisers and the skippers to ensure safe fishing - the sea can be mortally dangerous. so treat it with respect and do what you are told without question as it can save your life in an emergency.
