The
Local Area
A
short stroll from the front of the property down a lane to
Swanpool Beach. A sheltered family beach good for bathing,
great rock pooling, rock climbing, fishing and of course relaxing.
The beach cafÈ serves good fresh simple food and great cappuccino
as well as fabulous Cornish ice creams. Great watersports
are based on the beach, these include sailing, canoeing and
scuba diving. There’s a crazy golf course and bouncy castle.
Over recent years beach massage has been offered under a pagoda
near the water’s edge – each year we hope she’ll return! A
fabulous, informal cliff-top restaurant, overlooks the beach
and bay with an interesting menu. They serve Tapas and Pimms
which go down well after a great day on the beach!

access to the main Falmouth beaches, beach cafes, Princess Pavilion
with its beautiful gardens and band stand and onwards to Pendennis
Head with its impressive Castle and fortifications, built in the
reign of Henry VIII, steeped in history, and not to be missed!!
Within
Falmouth’s historic cobbled town you will find the usual stores
together with a host of tiny stylish shops, restaurants, bars, cream-tea
shops, pasty shops and granite piers jutting-out into Falmouth harbour
with an array of sailing and fishing boats and views across to St.Mawes
and Flushing offering frequent ferry trips and for the more adventurous
there’s deep sea fishing! The newly built and recently relocated
National Maritime Museum with its many interactive exhibits makes
