Flushing is situated opposite Falmouth on
one of the largest natural harbours in the world, ideal for
sailing, and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There
are country walks from the village, and the local ferry docks
in Falmouth only a short walk from the National Maritime Museum,
also connecting to other passenger ferry services to St Mawes,
Truro and the National Trust's Trelissick Gardens. By road,
only the most distant parts of the county are more than an
hour's drive, and the Eden Project near St Austell and the
Tate Gallery at St Ives are all easily reached.
There is storage available for surf boards,
bicycles, etc. at no additional charge.
