Newly opening in 2012, Acorn Camping lies in a secluded tranquil setting, offering camping for tents and three fairy-tale hobbit camping huts. Acorn Camping is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation to enjoy the surrounding area or as a central location for visiting Cornwall's many attractions.
Located within 7 acres of meadows and traditional broadleaf woodland with abundant wildlife and private woodland walk, it is quietly nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty, within the World Heritage Site of Luxulyan Valley, with its unique network of waterside walks.

Acorn Camping and Surrounding Area
Acorn Camping lies just one mile from Cornwall’s premier attraction, the Eden Project, and the Saints Way Pilgrim Trail is a five minute walk away.
Why not enjoy this beautiful area by bike using the local cycle route. A five minute drive leads you to Cornwall’s southern coast which offers a taste of the ‘real’ Cornwall.
The nearest beach is 3 miles, shop and pub 1½ miles. Secluded coves, picturesque fishing villages and attractions are in abundance such as Fowey, Mevagissey, Charlestown, Pentewan, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.
For something different why not take a stroll or the cycle route to the village of Luxulyan and take the local train from the request stop to Newquay.

Hobbit Huts: All year round
The spacious,11 square metre, Hobbit Huts enjoy a landscaped setting, overlooking a large pond. Ideal for glamping, each hut is nestled in its own niche; sleeping up to four on double futon and cushioned wooden benches, which convert into beds. The huts are equipped with clothes hangers, tables, boot box, bucket for keeping things cool. Baby crib available. Each hut has a covered outside cooking area and there is a communal fire pit by the pond. Nearby, each hut has its own shower room (with hot water) which includes a wash-basin and toilet. There is also a communal washing-up sink (cold water only) and clothes line.
The huts have no internal mains electricity and are well lit using battery powered lanterns which are easily charged by your car battery. There is on-site lighting.

The tent area is a gently sloping ¾ acre site and offers a choice of pitches. The site has 2 toilets, 2 showers with hot water, 2 washrooms with hot water, a washing-up area (cold water only) and a traditional oak woodland walk. There is a communal fire-pit with logs available. BBQs allowed (blocks available for standing) but sorry no dogs due to local wildlife.
The site has no electric hook up, however there is a site-light which is on from dusk until dawn.
