after a day at the beach or walking the coastal path.
Natural slate floors to the ground floor with
timber floor boards contrast beautifully with exposed granite and
soft painted plasterwork.
There is a generously sized kitchen with a farmhouse
style table and ample space for family dining. The kitchen is hand
made with granite surfaces and offers ample cooking facilities.
It is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fan oven and
microwave plus all necesarry cooking utensils and crockery etc.
With the full range of modern amenities in a classic
country cottage this is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday
whatever the season.
About Trowan
Trowan is at the centre of a ring of lush green
fields approximately 1 mile from St Ives. It used to be the ancient
Manor of Trowan a small hamlet that pre-dates St Ives by many
hundreds of years and which in its heyday of the mid eighteen hundreds
provided a home for upwards of one hundred people.
Two years ago the entire hamlet was restored by
Mango Homes - a specialist development company that has won numerous
awards for the quality of its restoration projects. The restoration
work was done with the assistance of the National Trust and included
the restoration of the old Manor House, farm buildings and ruined
former cottages.
There is ample car parking in the large car park
at the entrance to the hamlet. There are way-marked paths through
the fields to the coastal path to St Ives and to Zennor.
In keeping with our environmental principles,
all buildings on the site have very high standards of insulation
and double glazing and the complex as a whole benefits from rainwater
harvesting and an on-site recycling facility.
Availability & Booking
Most bookings are Saturday to Saturday and we
regret we are unable to accommodate pets. The property is non-smoking
throughout. Some Friday to Friday bookings are available - please
enquire.
The property is available from 3pm on day of arrival
and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.
Outside of the peak season, small parties and
short breaks may by arranged by separate agreement.
