This 300 year old building is comfortably furnished with books, paintings and items of family history. Every room has a peaceful river view; unique and unspoilt country side surrounds the house. Bishops Quay is a tiny riverside hamlet, there are are only four houses here.The ever changing scene is of the tidal estuary with facinating river birds and small boats to watch, from window, balcony or water. Lovely local beaches and gardens to visit are nearby. Many artists and craftsmen work in this area and there are is an excellent organic farm shop within walking distance.

Notes: Pet allowed by arrangement. The house is all set up for your arrival with beds made, all domestic requirements in place, welcoming tea tray. Warm and comfortable with central heating and open fire, loads of logs to use, books, magasines, toys and games to occupy you and to help you relax from the start. Meals can be delivered from local cook, wonderful organic farm shop just up the hill, sellling our fish, range of organic meats, veg and baking. Not advisable for toddlers and non swimming children as the water is close to the house.

Further details

We offer the use of 3 dinghies, motor, rowing and sailing. Also we have a canoe. Life jackets are provided. There is a table tennis table and use of toys and games. A caterer can supply ready prepared meals, these can be delivered for your arrival and during your visit. A maid service is available. All fortnightly bookings receive maid service after the first week. There are many excellent local pubs and restaurants. Fresh fish is landed on the quay. There is a pretty private garden with the house for the guests to use. A property of great interest, unique, quiet and a much loved holiday home. Many guests return year after year.

Short breaks are available out of season (November until Easter) by arrangement. These are charged at a daily rate of 1/7 of the weekly rental plus a £35 arrangement fee to cover costs. Also out of season (November until Easter) a reduction of £50 per week is offered to a couple booking the house, excluding short breaks.

Last minute bookings are payable in full 5 days before by cheque or on arrival in cash.
