| St Nicholas Cottage is an extremely
comfortable Grade II listed property ideally situated
in the historic 'Downalong' area of St Ives. |
 |
| Much of the charm of Downalong
remains in the maze of cobbled streets and alleyways
next to the harbour where the granite fishermans
cottages are decorated with a profusion of hanging
baskets throughout the summer. |

|
| The Cottage . . . . |
| Originally built as a
‘grocers store’, the cottage was extended in the fifties and then
extensively refurbished in the last couple of years. It now offers
spacious and light accommodation for the large or extended family
and sleeps eight in four double / twin bedrooms, three of which are
en-suite. |
| The cottage is spread
over three floors having the main reception rooms on the ground floor
and although being a traditional beamed cottage it has a light and
airy feel throughout. To the rear is the courtyard with attractive
flower beds and which is equipped with outdoor furniture. We also
provide an on-site parking space. |

a ‘home from home’ for the holiday visitor. With gas central heating
the cottage is available all year round. |
| You will find the beds
ready made with fresh linen and duvet covers and a hamper will be
provided to welcome you packed with local goodies including wine to
celebrate the beginning of your holiday. |

| Location . . . . |
| St Nicholas Cottage is
ideally situated in the historic ‘Downalong’ area of St Ives. Much
of the charm of ‘Downalong’ remains in the granite fishermans cottages
decorated with a profusion of hanging baskets in the maze of cobbled
streets and alleyways. |
| The ancient harbour with
its many interesting shops and galleries alongside pubs and bistros
is a mere 100 yards stroll from St Nicholas Cottage. The main surfing
beach at Porthmeor is virtually on the back door step as is the kiddies
favourite beach at Porthgwidden. |
| Take a short walk around
the island and hope to see the dolphins or the seals, perhaps a kestrel
and certainly a wide variety of seabirds – alternatively stroll along
to the Tate or the many other galleries literally ‘round the corner’.
