5 Albany Terrace is a deluxe self catering property situated in St Ives, on the south-western tip of Cornwall which is flanked by miles of magnificent coastal scenery. The property has recently been totally refurbished in a contemporary style but retains many of its original features and combining them with luxurious facilities to offer a truly outstanding experience. The property is also featured in the magazine “25 Beautiful Homes!”

The property is just a stone’s throw away and overlooking the beautiful Porthminster beach at St. Ives, therefore making it a perfect location as a beach-side pad, with the huge benefit of on-site parking for 2/3 cars.

Historically, this property is one of 8 properties in the terrace that were built by a Edward Hain, the shipping tycoon for each of his sea captains in 1850, and originally the front gardens led straight down to the beach!

The property is very spacious with light-flooded rooms laid out on 3 floors. It is decorated with exceptionally high quality taste throughout, retaining all the original features but equipped with all the latest gadgets and mod cons.

Central St Ives is just a 10 minute walk away and therefore is easily accessible to the fantastically varied restaurants to accommodate all tastes, shops, artist studios and of course the Tate Gallery.

Lands End and the open-air theatre at Porthcurno are only a short distance away and either a fishing trip from the harbour in St Ives or a surf lesson is a must. There are also numerous coastal walks which takes in the breathtaking scenery.

ABOUT US

The accommodation is furnished and fitted to a luxurious standard and accommodates up to 10 adults in 5 bedrooms, 3 with king size beds and two with twin beds.

A lawned and manicured garden greets you as you walk up the path to the black front door of 5 Albany Terrace. On entering the property you are greeted by a fabulous hall with black and white chequered tumbled marble floor and black chandelier. On the ground floor to your right is located a spacious open plan lounge/sitting room linking into a cinema room where you can relax and indulge in reading, absorb yourself watching the latest film on the large plasma TV or listening to your favourite music on the Bose Wave sound system.

Along the entrance hall is the antique effect kitchen which is fitted out with the latest kitchen equipment including a Smeg range cooker and also provides a fabulous area for communal dining. The kitchen doors at the back lead out into a utility room with washer/dryer and downstairs toilet, and then out onto a private courtyard with steps leading up to the rear garden terrace. Sun chairs and outdoor furniture are provided, including a BBQ for summer entertaining.

On the first floor there is the magnificent master bedroom with king sized bed and panoramic views over looking St. Ives and the sea. Two other large bedrooms are located on this floor, and comprise of one bedroom with 2 single beds and the third bedroom with a king sized bed. Both are decorated to a contemporarily plush standard. There are two bathrooms on this floor; one with the latest style walk-in shower and the other with a whirlpool bath. There is also a separate additional toilet. Go on indulge yourself!

A small staircase then leads you up to the attic which in itself could be a self contained unit and includes 2 bedrooms, one with king size bed and the other with 2 single beds, bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower cubicle, and lounge with TV and play station! Very handy if you want to lock away the kids!

All costings include linen and towels, along with a welcome pack of Cornish goodies!
