Our
Green Tourism Policy Cornwall is a unique county with diverse coastal,
rural and moor landscapes. The farmland of Trevenna makes up 142 acres of this
fragile environment and the business works towards reducing the 'footprint' we
leave behind us. Trevenna's sustainable practices aim to help conserve the Cornish
environment, contribute to the Cornish economy and give something back to the
community of Cornwall. Trevenna is a member The Cornwall Sustainable Tourism
Project, CoaST, which provides intensive assistance throughout Cornwall to develop
excellent sustainable practices. Each barn has recycling bins; the underfloor
heating, hot water and swimming pool are heated by one wood chip burner. Drinking
water, water for showers and the swimming pool rises naturally from a spring below.
Trevenna is also a member of the nationally recognised Green Business Tourism
Scheme. |
